Our Story
McDowalls Surveyors was founded in 1880 by George A McDowall, who was a poor rate collector for West Ham Council at the time. The practice expanded significantly in 1920 when Myles Francis joined the company, and the name was changed to McDowall & Francis. The company continued to grow, and in 1973, Douglas Stratford joined the firm. In 1999, Chris Baker, a graduate surveyor, became the firm's youngest ever partner.
